About the Ministry
Lost Sheep Ministries brings churches and organizations togehter to feed, clothe, care for and share the love of Jesus. There purpose is to continue the outreach to the homeless, and to provide an outreach to yound people in both Knoxville's "Old City" and the surrounding area. Lost Sheep Ministries currently provides a safe place for area youth.
Homeless bridge fellowship
Each Wednesday night, 100 volunteers feed, clothe,
and care for approximately 400 homeless individuals.
Wed 7:00-9:00 p.m. weekly
Under Gay Street /Jackson Ave. Bridge
Nightclub guardian angels - a safe place.
Each Saturday night, 20 volunteers
protect 400-600 at risk young people who frequent the Old City nightclubs,
many leaving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Rehabiliation support
Lost Sheep Ministry provides approximately 60 adults or teens each year the means and transportation to enter local and out-of-state rehabilitation programs.
Volunteer Opportunities...
- Office Support - answering telephones, typing letters in Word, mailings, copying, etc.
- Kitchen - assist in cooking meal each week.
- Clothing - assist in sorting donated clothing
- Men to pick up and drop off materials that can be heavy
