YOKE Youth Ministries is an interdenominational CHRISTIAN ministry working with middle-school-age youth. YYM's primary purpose is to provide a positive, CHRISTIAN influence to interested youngsters through organized activities, led by adult team leaders and young-adult counselors. YYM activities include weekly club meetings, fall and spring weekend camps, and weekly summer day-trips.

YYM is a home mission ministry originating in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1977 and has, since that time, been responding to the call of middle-school-age children (11-14 year olds) for a CHRISTIAN influence in their lives and positive, wholesome activities. Currently, YYM is serving some 2,500+ middle-school kids annually with programs in many different communities in four different counties, including Anderson, Blount, Jefferson, and Knox.

One-on-one friendships or "Kid Time" is the heart of YOKE Youth Ministries. Kid Time is the time that YYM's young-adult counselors spend developing relationship with their middle-school kids. Counselors and kids go shopping, play sports, eat meals, and just spend time getting to really know each other. Through Kid Time, friendships are developed, enabling counselors to share by word and example the love of JESUS CHRIST with these youngsters.

Fundraising includes several different avenues for YYM, but the ministry is supported solely by contributions from area business folk, local churches, parents, and other friends of the ministry. All gifts are tax deductible and acknowledged with a monthly gift receipt.

What's going on?

Praying Partners – Be added to the Praying Partners list. Each month you will receive a list of Ministry prayer needs via email or postcard.

YOKE Folk – YOKE always needs energetic Christian young adults who are willing to spend 5 hours each week ministering to Middle School Children.

YYM After-School Tutoring Program – If helping Middle School Kids with their school work sounds exciting, then YOKE has a place for you!

Church Presentations – YOKE would love the opportunity to share the Ministry with your church congregation on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, or Wednesday nights.

$upport – There are several options in which you can support YYM financially:

Monthly Partners Program – Support YYM through a monthly contribution.
Club Sponsor – Sponsor the YOKE Club in your community
Send a kid to camp – ($130)
Sponsor a kid for a year – ($500)
Memorials / Honorariums – a contribution to YYM in honor or memory of a loved one
Planned Giving Program – Include YYM in the planning of your estate, or other highly appreciated assets
